Gameplay

Join the Gym Challenge and travel across the region to defeat 8 Gym Leaders in front of thousands of cheering fans. Your goal is to defeat the unbeatable Champion Leon, while also uncovering the mystery of the 'Darkest Day' and the legendary heroes who once saved Galar.

Region Overview

Galar is a mix of peaceful countryside and high-tech industrial cities. The most exciting area is the Wild Area—a vast, open land where you can freely move the camera and find many different Pokémon depending on the weather. You can also set up a Pokémon Camp anywhere to play with your team and cook delicious Curry.

THREAT ANALYSIS

You will encounter Team Yell, a group of loud fans who cause trouble just to support their favorite Trainer, Marnie. However, the real danger lies within the high-tech company Macro Cosmos, whose leader is trying to solve an energy crisis by awakening an ancient, uncontrollable power.

System

Galar introduced some of the biggest and most exciting features in Pokémon history:

Dynamax & Gigantamax

In special spots like Gym stadiums, your Pokémon can grow to a giant size for three turns! Some special Pokémon even change their appearance and gain powerful 'G-Max' moves.

Max Raid Battles

Team up with three other players (online or NPCs) to battle a giant, wild Dynamax Pokémon. If you win, everyone gets a chance to catch it!

The Y-Comm

A new system that makes it easy to trade, battle, and see what other Trainers are doing nearby or around the world at any time.

Pokémon Jobs

You can now send the Pokémon in your boxes to complete tasks for companies, helping them grow stronger and earn rewards even while you aren't using them.
