Gameplay

Alola Region

Instead of battling Gym Leaders, you must complete the Island Challenge—a series of unique trials across four natural islands. You will face powerful Totem Pokémon and earn the right to battle the Island Kahunas, all while discovering the mystery of the 'Ultra Beasts' coming from other dimensions.

Region Overview

Alola is a paradise made of four islands and one artificial research station. In this region, you will find Alolan Forms—classic Pokémon like Marowak or Ninetales that have changed their appearance and types to adapt to the island's environment. Your Rotom Dex (a Pokédex with a Rotom living inside) will guide you through every step.
